RecyShip is a leading company in the responsible ship recycling sector since 2009. We operate with transparency, advanced technology, and a strong environmental commitment, ensuring that each vessel is dismantled safely, cleanly, and in full compliance with regulations. We work through authorized facilities across the European Union and beyond, supported by a specialized team of naval engineers. We transform steel, metals, and components into reusable resources, contributing to a circular economy within the maritime industry.
At RecyShip, we believe that the end of a vessel’s operational life should not mark the beginning of an environmental problem, but rather the start of a new sustainable value chain.
Founded with a clear vision of industrial responsibility and care for the planet, RecyShip has become a benchmark in ethical and certified maritime recycling. Our company combines precise naval engineering, rigorous environmental management, and full transparency throughout every stage of the process.
We were instrumental in promoting Spain’s first authorized facilities, including Navantia in Cádiz (2012) and Recyship Varadero in Castellón (2014).
From 2009 to 2013, we were beneficiaries of a European Union LIFE project with a budget of approximately 3.5 million euros—the only ship recycling project of its kind in Europe—contributing significantly to the development of Europe’s ship recycling regulations.
We collaborate with shipowners, shipping companies, classification societies, and fleet managers worldwide, providing tailored solutions that meet the highest international standards, including:
- The Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships (2009)
- The European Union Ship Recycling Regulation (EU SRR)
- ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) certifications
- SOCRA audits (Statement of Compliance on Recycling Activities)

Our commitment extends beyond dismantling: we guarantee complete traceability of all materials and ensure dignified, safe working conditions for our personnel, aligned with United Nations principles on human rights and decent work.
